1st Call for crossborder proposals 2020

The Triangle Festival has decided to initiate a cross border cultural project between Denmark and Germany for the festival in 2020 as a part of the Danish-German year og friendship. We are therefore looking for proposals from international partners.

Background and purpose

We wish to create a project in the seven cities in our region. The project focuses on re-telling existing sculptures and bringing new life to forgotten spaces. Young or emerging artists from Denmark and Germany should be challenged and stimulated to create site-specific work. Contextually, the public should be increasingly attracted by the new artistic productions, growing a stronger interest in their neighborhood and in Danish and German culture. The involvement and dialogue with our citizens through art and culture is one of our main objectives.

The total budget for the project is 200.000 DKK.

Eligible Applicants

In order to be considered for participation in the program, applicants must:

A. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in organizing cultural events with a participatory framework.

B. Demonstrate experience working in a decentralized cultural event in public space.

C. Demonstrate financial stability and capacity to finance at least 50% of the projectcosts.

Duration of Activity

The project has to take place from March 2020 to September 2020.

Call Deadline

17th of February 2020.
